Aftercare for Brows

The healing process can take up to 14 days depending on your skin, environmental factors and aftercare. After your procedure you want to make sure that you are blotting your brows every 10 minutes for the first two hours. After that please blot at least every 30 minutes until you go to bed. This will help get rid of any excess lymph fluid/blood, just because you don’t see it on the outside doesn’t mean it’s not on the inside. Blotting will prevent big scabs which can push your pigment out. You want to make sure you clean the brows 3x on the first day, this will prevent any infections that may occur. After, you will wash in the morning and night. Washing daily will remove oils, dirt and any bacteria. During your cleaning routine always use clean hands and clean towels.

  • Do not use any cleaning products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHY) or exfoliants.

After each cleanse you will be applying ointment. Please apply a grain of rice size of the ointment per brow that I will send you home with. Do not over apply, this will suffocate your skin and delay the healing process.

  • Do not apply ointment on wet or damp skin.

Do this routine for 7 days, then you can go back to your normal routine. Do not use any products containing acids (as above) for 4 weeks.

Avoid the following while healing:

  • No saunas, pools, tanning, or the gym for 14 days.

  • Take quick showers and be sure to blot the brows when done.

  • No facial waxing, Botox, or chemical treatments for 4 weeks.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face for 10 days, always use a clean pillowcase.

  • Avoid topical makeup such as sunscreens on the brows. Wait until you are healed AFTER your touch up session to continue wearing topicals.

  • Do not pick, scratch, or peel the brows.

  • No sun tanning for 4 weeks. If you are out in the sun, wear a hat to avoid direct sun exposure to your brows.
